Car Track Day Terms and Conditions
Participants on any car track day will need to produce their full, original valid driving license before they can partake in an event. Photocopies of licences will not be accepted. Without producing the correct license you will not be able to take part and you will not be eligible for a refund. All Cars on a track day will undergo a static and/or drive-by noise test. The majority of the track days we display on our calendar have the ‘static’ noise limit displayed. No refunds can be given if your Car fails the static or the drive-by noise limit on the day (note that the drive-by noise limit will nearly always be less than the static limit). On a public car track day, drivers and passengers will be required to bring their own helmets. On some events helmet hire may be available but please check the event information before making a booking.
Circuit Safety on Car Track Days
Before any driver or passenger is allowed out on track, they all must attend a safety briefing with the Circuit Marshals (usually the Chief Marshal or Instructor will conduct this). After the briefing the drivers and passengers can then collect their wrist bands which will allow them into the pit lane and on track. One of the most important things to know is what the flags mean. If you see a marshal waving a flag you need to note the colour and use this guide to know what to do:
- YELLOW flag means that there's danger ahead of you so take extra care, don't overtake.
- RED flag means there's been a serious incident so you must slow down, don't overtake and make your way back to the pit lane.
- YELLOW and RED striped flag means there's debris or a splillage on the track so slow down and be vigilant.
- BLUE flag means that another car wants to overtake you.
- BLACK flag means you have been spotted doing something wrong and the marshals need to speak to you. Slow and come into the pits right away.
