Novice Car Track Days in the UK

For those who are newcomers to the world of own car track days, our selection of Novice Car Track Days, hosted at a select number of UK venues, offer the perfect opportunity to learn and get to grips with becoming a better track driver.

Amongst the venues that offer Novice sessions are Seighford Driving Centre in Staffordshire, Donington Park in Derbyshire, Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire and Snetterton in Norfolk - and we're hoping more venues will become available in the near future.

These specially created sessions have been made with beginner track day drivers in mind, and so you can be sure it's all conducted in such a way that you'll be learning at your own pace and building in confidence as you go along.

Going On A Novice Car Track Day

The first thing to note is that the circuit layout will typically be no longer than 1 mile in length, with just a couple of chicanes and hairpins. The course layout is this basic to primarily ensure that you can get accustomed to perfecting your skills on the simplest of tracks. The noise limit will also generally be capped at around 105db.

This is ideal, so you can have as much focus time as possible to perfect driving lines, braking and cornering, all without the distraction and demands that a more general track day out on circuit might present, thus offering a relaxed environment for you to learn and grow in confidence on.

ARDS (The Association of Racing Driver Schools) qualified and recognised instructors are used on these sessions, and will be on hand for the duration of the day, and you'll also usually have an in-car tuition with an instructor included on your session as well.

And hopefully, after a couple of sessions, you'll have the track day bug in no time at all and be enthusiastic to get yourself booked onto one of our Own Car Track Days that we have available to book at UKTrackDays!

Using Our Novice Car Track Day Calendar

Our Novice Car Track Day Calendar is regularly updated, as we are in constant communication with the suppliers of these specialist events at the venues, so this is the page you'll want to keep bookmarked to check on the latest event availability.

Using our dedicated search filters at the top of this page, you can filter out to see dates in your nearest region of the UK, dates in a given month, by your nearest venue, or within a given price range.

Then you simply click or tap to book onto a dated voucher for the event of your choice - and await with excitement as you get ready for your first ever novice track day!
